Energy Saving International MD Invited to Meeting with Deputy PM
James Dunne of Leeds based Energy Saving International was one of a select group of local business people invited to attend a closed meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne in Bradford today.
The meeting was called to discuss entrepreneurship in the region, and how to develop and encourage fledgling businesses through the new Regional Enterprise Fund, which replaces Yorkshire Forward.
Commenting on the meeting, James said: "I was delighted to be asked to attend (the meeting), and it is encouraging to hear that plans are being put in place to make it easier for young entrepreneurs to get their products and services to market.
When I was going through this process with my energy-saving product - the SAVASOCKET - I struggled to get the funding and advice that would have considerably shortened the length of time taken to get my product on the shelf. Hopefully having the Regional Enterprise Fund will help to speed the process up in the future."
